River Breeze commons is the third phase of the Shelton River Front Development Project and consists of a 68 unit, new construction, residential mixed-income development on the shores of the Housatonic River. The development site in The City of Shelton which is located between New Haven and Bridgeport, sits near the well-traveled Route 8, within walking distance of rail road service to New York City and various amenities.
River Breeze is designed as a mixed-income residential development targeting individuals and families earning between 25% of the area median income to market rate. The development includes the construction of 68 new residential apartments consisting of 22 one-bedroom units, and 46 two-bedroom units, which will range in size from 796 to 1,081 square feet. Included are storage rooms, an exercise room, a meeting room, and an on-site resident services coordinator’s office. Parking facilities will hold 105 cars that will be developed under and around the proposed building.
